The New Math
Your proof that staying awake in geometry class pays off. The owners of this stately, early 1900's home wanted to add a small cantilevered addition that opened up the primary suite to spectacular bay views. But making that happen required the architect, engineer, homeowners, and MN Builders to tackle some serious math. Working together, we came up with a space that looks as if was always meant to be. The real feather in this project’s cap is the cantilevered octagonal bathing space, complete with an octagonal pyramid skylight—and we love how the bathroom opens onto its own cantilevered hexagonal deck.
